Memorial Day

Date: Last Monday in May

When is Memorial Day 2007?

Memorial Day is a U.S. Holiday that honors the men and women who have died in military service to their country. It began as a holiday called Decoration Day that honored soldier who lost their lives in the American Civil War, but now also celebrates all soldiers fighting for freedom in the country.

Even though the holiday is somber in tone, that doesn't mean we can't honor the soldiers with a little bit of fun on Memorial Day. After all, it is their selfless giving that allows to live in such a wonderful and free country.
