Great Father's Day Gifts from Younger
Children
Father’s Day is a day to show Dad just
what a special guy he is. Younger children may not have the money to
buy him that new cordless drill or set of golf clubs he has been
wanting, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t let him know how much
he is loved. There are many creative ways that younger kids can make
Father’s Day memorable.
Breakfast in bed is a sweet way
to pamper Dad on his special day, and getting the little ones involved
makes it extra-special. Providing guidance and supervision while they
do as much of the work as they can will make the kids feel wonderful.
Even if it’s just cereal, toast and juice with a vase of hand-picked
flowers on the tray, Dad is sure to love his Father’s Day breakfast.
A work of art is always a great gift from a small artist.
Whether using crayons, markers, or paint, a picture is one of the
purest ways for kids to express their feelings. If using fingerpaint,
adding handprints makes for a memorable keepsake. Cover the work area
with newspapers, and let imaginations run wild.
For dads in business, a paperweight is a useful gift that is
easy to make. All you need is a large, smooth rock, which can be found
in craft stores or in the river, and some items to decorate it with.
The kids can paint the rock, glue beads or jewels on it, or add
stickers to make Dad a paperweight that he will brag on for years to
come.
Father’s Day gifts don’t have to be expensive to be special. A
loving gesture or a handmade craft from the kids is enough to ensure
that Dad’s big day is one that he will never forget.
